Softonic Bolsters Executive Team with New Vice President of Human Resources

Seasoned Global HR Leader to Spearhead Key Strategic Corporate & Employee Initiatives

Barcelona, April 4th, 2016 – Softonic, the world’s largest app and software discovery platform, today announced the appointment of human resources industry veteran and skilled business strategist Marta Rebull as Vice President of Human Resources. Marta brings more than 20 years of global human resources experience to the role and will be responsible for growing the Softonic team, while ensuring all employees are aligned with key company objectives: providing a clean and safe environment for software interaction and expanding its presence in the mobile marketplace.

“Marta’s impressive background and global experience managing growth in multiple geographies and cultures are crucial as we continue to grow on an international level,” said Softonic CEO Scott Arpajian. “Her knowledge and expertise will be invaluable towards attracting the best and brightest talent, retaining our current talent and establishing a company culture that is flexible and cutting-edge – just like our platform.”

Rebull joins Softonic from Privalia, a leading ecommerce company operating in both Latin America and European markets, and brings a wealth of global experience in running successful teams in both startups and mature businesses. She is skilled in building and maintaining high performing teams, attracting the right talent for emerging technology companies and creating work environments in which employees not only thrive, but work in parallel with company strategy. In her new role, she will act as a change agent, further establishing an environment of innovation and growth.

“I am excited to join the Softonic team and play such an integral role in the company’s expansion and strategy execution,” said Marta Rebull. “I remain incredibly impressed with the company’s technology capabilities and tool suite, and look forward to building a cohesive team of motivated, forward-thinking, tech-savvy visionaries who share in Softonic’s goal to serve consumers, developers and advertisers.”

Rebull’s addition to the executive line-up complements the 2015 hire of Scott Arpajian as CEO and promotion of Gino Micacchi to Vice President of Product. These major appointments within the last year solidify Softonic’s commitment to stand against malware and unwanted software bundles, and its focus delivering a cohesive user experience for all mobile app and desktop software users.
